My Mission
My mission is to help you achieve wellness, which includes assisting you to identify and change
negative thought and behavior patterns, improve emotional health and
relationships, relieve suffering, and solve current problems through
empirically supported interventions.

My Approach
I provide Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which controlled outcome studies have shown to be an effective treatment for a number of problems and disorders. CBT focuses primarily on resolving current problems and symptoms by identifying and modifying the thought, emotion, and behavior patterns that contribute to their development and maintenance. My approach is collaborative and designed to help you better understand the nature of your difficulties so that you can more effectively pursue the life you desire.

My Practice
I work
with adults age 18 and over and have expertise addressing a broad range of
psychological problems, including depression, anxiety, anger,
relationship difficulties, substance abuse, and poor self-image. My techniques are varied and include cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure, relaxation training, instruction in mindfulness and acceptance strategies, and skill building for specific problems.
